About LingoGrove

LingoGrove is a reference site for English speakers who hit a specific word or phrase in another language and need a straight answer: what it means, how to say it, how a verb conjugates, or which of two similar words actually fits. It is not a course. There is no sign-up, no streak to keep, no lesson plan. You look something up, you get a real answer with the nuance that matters (which region uses it, how formal it is, what a dictionary you can check for yourself actually says), and you leave.

Every translation and word meaning is checked against a standard dictionary for that language rather than written from memory. Verb conjugation tables are generated by code and checked against a published grammar reference, not typed in by hand, for the same reason a calculator site double-checks its formulas: a wrong answer here is the kind of mistake a reader only discovers after they have already used it in an email or an assignment.
